A young person’s charity based in south east Northumberland has been given a certificate in recognition of outstanding practice.

Choysez, based in Bedlington, received an ASDAN certificate this week as a centre of excellence in running ASDAN courses in relation to Inclusive Curriculum.

Fundraising officer Stephanie Edwards said: “The certificate reflects the hard work and achievement of both our young people and the staff working with them – we couldn’t be more proud.

“In the last academic year we set a new record with 328 awards and qualifications achieved by our young people, beating last years record and giving us our highest ever percentage of young people achieving an award or qualification smashing the previous record by 12 per cent.

“This is a fantastic achievement for us.”
