Residents in Ashington can sit down for a cuppa and a chat with their local officers next week.
PCSO Alan Bunker from the Ashington neighbourhood policing team will be present for a drop-in session at Hirst Park Pavillion.
Local residents are invited to come along and have a chat with their local officers and find out about crime and disorder in the area on Saturday, February 14, from 10am to noon.
They can raise any concerns they have about local issues and there will also be the chance for people to have their bikes security marked by police.
PCSO Alan Bunker said: “Hirst Park is a really popular area for people and it’s important we hold events in places where it’s convenient for residents to come along to.
“Anyone who attends can grab a tea or coffee and sit down with their local officer for an informal chat where they can ask questions, get to know their neighbourhood team and find out about crime in the area.
“We are also running a free bike marking scheme so people can bring their bikes along and have them security marked. That way, should they every be stolen, we can return them if they are recovered.
“It’s also an opportunity for us to tell the community about ongoing initiatives, campaigns and operations in their area.”
