Chef serves up a treat

Tasty pub grub was taken out to the community, thanks to a kind-hearted chef.

Some 35 service users at Blyth Star Enterprises tucked into a roast dinner at the charity, courtesy of chef Daniel Williamson and his employer, The Keel Row pub at Seaton Delaval.

Daniel offered to cook the meal after contacting the mental health and learning disability charity to see how he could help. And The Keel Row, which has already raised almost £3,000 for Blyth Star, agreed to fund the food.

Charity chief executive Gordon Moore said: “The Keel Row pub has been incredibly supportive of Blyth Star Enterprises. It is very encouraging when local businesses reach out to support local charities such as ours.”
