The opening day of an annual church flower festival got off to a rousing start thanks to young voices from Blyth.
The Bede Academy Choir performed a concert on the first day of the event at Central Methodist Church in Blyth.
Led by director of music at Bede Academy, Helen Kerr, the choir sang songs of praise and traditional north east folk songs.
Mrs Kerr said: “It’s been our pleasure to help open the Central Methodist Church flower festival for a number of years.
“It’s always a joyous occasion and it’s great to see so many members of the congregation and other visitors come along.”
Bedlington Salvation Army Band ended the festival on Sunday.
