Christmas fun at Manor Walks

Christmas is coming to Cramlington this weekend.

Manor Walks shopping centre is switching on its Christmas lights on Saturday, November 25.

Manor Walks shopping centre is switching on its Christmas lights on Saturday, with a day of fun from 10am to 4pm, held in association with Heart FM and Cramlington Town Council.

There will be a variety of festive family fun including live music from brass and steel bands, light-up stilt walkers, face painting, dance performances and the live final of Manor Walks’ singing competition, A Star is Born.

Heart FM’s Tom Campbell will host the switch-on, plus a meet and greet with the Snow Sisters and their snowman.

The yuletide event marks the start of Manor Walks’ month-long Christmas celebrations, including Santa’s Magical Grotto.

Santa’s Magical Grotto runs from 11am until 3pm on the weekends of November 25 and 26, December 2 and 3, December 9 and 10, December 16 and 17, and Friday, December 22, and Saturday, December 23.

There is a variety of free, fun festive craft workshops on Saturday, December 2, where Mrs Claus and her elf helper Merry Jingle, will help children write letters to Santa.

Children can also get crafty on Saturday, December 9, by decorating their very own bauble, while on Saturday, December 16, they can discover what it takes to become a real elf with Santa’s elves Tinsel and Cookie.

Children can get creative to make a personalised snowman craft on Thursday, December 28.

All of these workshops take place from 11am until 3pm.
