Blyth FCs Nathan Parr and Miller Homes Brenda Frayne celebrate their new sponsorship.

Blyth FC has marked its first season in the Northern Football Alliance League by securing backing from Miller Homes.

The team, which plays its home games at Cowpen Park near to Miller Homes’ Portland Wynd development in Blyth, was able to fund full kits for the whole squad thanks to the £500 sponsorship donation.

Andrew Somerville, regional sales manager at Miller Homes North East, said: “We are committed to creating sustainable communities and as a nearby football club to our Portland Wynd development, we were more than happy to support Blyth FC with sponsorship funds.”

“We wish them the best of luck in the Northern Football Alliance League.”

Nathan Parr, club secretary at Blyth FC, said: “If it wasn’t for companies like Miller Homes sponsoring local sports teams and clubs like ours, we simply wouldn’t be able to operate and do what we love, so on behalf of the club I’d like to say a big thank you to Miller Homes North East – our new kits look great.”
