The group meets at Bothal Cottages Community Centre, Ashington, weekly on Mondays, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.

Ashington Blind Club offers a welcoming space for people to get together in their local community and have fun.

The group is seeking new members as there are a wide range of activities to get involved with, including playing dominoes, bingo, key speaker presentations, outings, including free meals for members, fundraising events and trips out.

Past events have included outings to Kirkley Hall, the Tankerville Hotel, Seahouses and Wooler.

A minibus is available to transport members who live in and around Ashington and Stakeford door to door at a small cost.

For more information please contact club leader Eleanor on (01670) 816137.
