A Northumberland company is celebrating two notable successes in national award schemes that recognise and reward the country’s top coach holiday operators.
Morpeth-based Gardiners NMC was competing for coveted accolades along with large companies that have nationwide coverage, as it was named as a finalist in two high-profile competitions.
Last month Gardiners NMC’s 2015 coach holiday programme was named as one of four finalists in the prestigious UK Coach Awards, while further recognition followed when the company was again named as one of the best at the National Coach Tourism Awards.
Gardiners NMC managing director Adrian Smith said: “We are delighted our Holiday Programme made the national finals of both the UK Coach Awards and the Coach Tourism Awards.
“It is a real honour that respected industry professionals recognise what we are trying to achieve and it is a huge tribute to our dedicated team who work tirelessly to ensure we offer bespoke tours at competitive prices.
“With work under way for 2016 and our new luxury coaches with extra legroom we are hopeful for 2016’s awards.”
The National Coach Tourism Awards (NCTA) is the only national awards scheme to specifically focus on the coach tourism industry.
Organised by coach tourism trade magazine Coach Monthly, the awards recognises excellence and innovation among coach tour operators, destinations, visitor attractions, and tourism industry suppliers.
