Company to recruit as it heads back to town

A COMPANY is looking to employ ten people in Cramlington after abandoning its base in the town back in 2007.

Angel Biotechnology relocated to Edinburgh but is heading back to Nelson Business Park.

At the end of June Angel announced the Cramlington site had passed its first regulatory inspection by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency.

Angel said in June it already has customers for the facility once it receives its licence.

The company saw revenues for 15 months to the end of March go up to £3.46m from £2.95m a year earlier.

But it plunged into a £1.3m loss from a profit of £193,000 last year after ploughing money into its Cramlington plant, which is three times the size of its Scottish facility.
