A fundraising concert was music to the ears of parishioners at a Bedlington church.
There was a huge turnout at the Grade II listed St Cuthbert’s Church in the town for its first Gift Day Music Festival held last month.
The event was organised to help raise funds to support much-needed work on the historic church organ, dating back to 1877.
Musicians from Bedlington Ukuleles and the congregation provided the entertainment over two hours, along with musical groups from Whitley Memorial C of E First School, including the school choir, recorder group, brass section, guitarists and keyboard players.
An impressive total of more than £1,000 was collected towards the organ work.
