A Stakeford couple’s new baby girl has a particularly memorable birthday.
Eva Beadnell was born on Monday – St George’s Day and the same day as the latest Royal baby.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child, who is fifth in line to the throne, was born at 11.01am at the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in London, weighing 8lb 7oz.
It was revealed earlier today that William and Kate have named him Louis.
Eva was born at 12.34pm in The Northumbria hospital, weighing 7lb 7oz. She is Fiona and Steven Beadnell’s second child.
Fiona said: “My technical due date was yesterday (Thursday), but we came in on Monday for a section birth on the advice of doctors after having complications with the birth of our son Jack three years ago.
“I only found out about the Royal baby when I came back to the ward. I didn’t know the Duchess of Cambridge had been in labour as we went into hospital at 7am.
“We’ve had lots of comments from people we know about Eva being born on the same day as a prince, as well as them saying how pleased they are that she is happy and healthy.
“Eva is settling in well at home and Jack loves her.”
