£1,200 worth of jewellery stolen from store

A BRACELET and chain worth over £1,200 have been stolen from a jewellers in Morpeth.

A man and a woman entered the jewellers in Newgate Street between 3:15pm and 3:30pm on Wednesday, October 26, and distracted a staff member while they stole the bracelet and chain.

The man is described as being dark skinned, European looking and aged around 45 to 55.

He is around 5ft 6ins to 5ft 8ins tall and of stocky build.

He had dark coloured thinning hair and a moustache.

He was wearing a white collared shirt, grey suit jacket and trousers.

The woman, also of European appearance, is around 5ft 8 to 5ft 9ins tall and of medium build. She had black coloured greying hair tied back in a ponytail.

She was wearing a white, cream and dark blue dress.

Officers believe the two may have left the scene in a silver BMW.
