Arrests made after rape in Blyth park

TWO men have been arrested following a reported rape in a Blyth park on Friday night.

The attack on a 37-year-old woman took place behind a toilet block in Ridley Park at 9.28pm.

Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have seen or heard anything suspicious to come forward.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 ext 69191 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

The two men were arrested on suspicion of rape and bailed pending further enquiries.
