Caravan and cars hit by arson attack

FIVE cars were damaged by a suspected arson attack on a caravan in Seaton Delaval.

Fire crews were called to deal with the blaze in Wallridge Drive at 2.20am on Saturday.

By the time the police arrived, the fire had been extinguished.

No one was injured, but five cars parked nearby were left damaged by the fire.

Fire investigation officers believe the blaze was started maliciously.

Police are now carrying out inquiries in an effort to identify the culprits. They are appealing for anyone in Wallridge Drive around the time of the fire to call them on 03456 043043 ext 69191.
