Cars damaged in Bedlington

VANDALS have damaged a number of cars in Bedlington.

Ten cars parked in the Forster Avenue and Burdon Terrace areas had their paint work damaged and body work scratched by vandals in the late hours on Friday, October 28.

Officers have been making house to house enquiries in the area and extra patrols were carried out on Saturday evening.

Chief Inspector Mick Paterson, of Northumberland Area Command, said: “I’d appeal for anyone who may have been coming home from the pub or perhaps looked out of their window late on Friday night, and who might have seen anybody behaving suspiciously in Forster Avenue or Burdon to contact us with any information.

“Mindless vandalism like this causes a lot of problems for a community and it won’t be tolerated.”

Anyone with any information into the damages is asked to contact police on 03456 043 043 ext 69191.
