Cramlington man charged after Morpeth assault

A Cramlington man has been charged with assault after an incident in Morpeth inthe early hours of Sunday morning.

Twenty-year-old Aaron Robson of Silverdale Road in Cramlington has been charged with wounding with intent to causing grievous bodily harm and is due to appear before South East Northumberland Magistrates Court in Bedlington on Monday, March 31.

The assault happened around 3am on Sunday, March 30, on Bridge Street in Morpeth when a 35-year-old man was injured. He remains at the RVI in a critical condition and enquiries are continuing.
