Did you see Range Rover being stolen?

POLICE are appealing for help to track down a Range Rover stolen from a Bedlington car park.

Thieves took the car between 3pm and 4.20pm on Sunday, July 31, from the Plessey Woods car park.

The dark blue metallic-coloured 4x4 was parked next to the tourist information centre at the woods, and police believe there would have been lots of people around at the time it was stolen.

Pc Steve McCourt said: “This is a highly unusual theft in that the incident happened in such a short space of time.

“There was no evidence to suggest that the thieves smashed any windows to get in the vehicle or of any damage done to the vehicle.

“We believe that it may have been lifted up or towed away by the thieves.

“There would have been dog walkers, families and people in the area on Sunday afternoon, and I’d appeal to anyone who thinks they may have seen anything suspicious or have any information on the theft to contact us.”

The licence plate of the Range Rover, built in 1998, is R446 EWW.

Anyone with any information on the theft is asked to contact Pc McCourt on 03456 043043 ext 69191.
