Man injured in street attack

POLICE are appealing for information after a man was attacked in Ashington.

A 39-year-old man was assaulted in North Seaton Road, Ashington, at around 12.20am on Saturday, March 9.

A man approached him and knocked him to the ground, holding him down and kicking and punching him repeatedly.

The victim suffered a broken nose and an eye injury.

His attacker is described as white, in his late 20s, of muscular build, 6’ tall, with short brown hair, blue eyes, and was wearing a creamy white long sleeved jumper and blue jeans.
