Man punched in petrol station forecourt

A 50-year-old man was punched in the face by a teenager in a Blyth Petrol station on Sunday.

Now police are appealing for information following the altercation at the Asda petrol station forecourt in Cowpen Road on Sunday may 26 at 12.20pm.

The 50-year-old was punched in the face and sustained facial injuries before the offender then fled the scene.

Enquiries were carried out into the attack and an 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of wounding. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone who was at the forecourt at the time of the assault and who might have witnessed what happened to contact them on 101 ext 69191.
