An investigation has been launched and officers have identified two men who they would like to speak to.

PC Bernie Donaghy, of Northumbria Police, said: “This is a shameless burglary that has seen those responsible stoop low enough to not only target a business the night before they can welcome customers back indoors, but also steal from two charities.

“We are appealing to the public to come forward if they recognise the people from the CCTV. We know it’s not the clearest picture but do hope the image is clear enough for someone to know who they are.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101 quoting 310 160521.
