THIEVES targeted two parked cars in Blyth.

Raiders smashed the windows of the vehicles in Wharton Street and Plessey Road between 10.30pm on Sunday, August 14, and 5am on Monday, August 15, where they made off with a JVC car stereo and a sat nav system.

A man was seen acting suspiciously in Wharton Street around the time of the theft.

He was described as being white, slim, with short hair and was riding a racing bike.

Blyth Neighbourhood Inspector Trevor Oakley said: “Take all valuables out of your car whenever you are leaving it unattended.

“Don’t leave anything inside your vehicle that might attract thieves.”
