Woman robbed of her handbag

A woman was left shocked but uninjured after a thief made off with her bag.

The 25-year-old victim had been walking along Delaval Terrace towards Renwick Road in Blyth when the offender approached her and demanded her bag before knocking her to the ground.

The man is described as white, late 20s to 30s, 6ft tall, medium build, dark hair shaved at the side and short on top. He spoke with a deep Geordie accent and wore a black sweatshirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

The offence happened between 6.45pm and 7pm on Tuesday, December 10. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who was in the area at the time and might have seen or heard anything suspicious to contact them.
