Two dance music producers from Blyth have scored a top ten hit with the release of their debut single.
Martyn Rutherford and Stewart Dryden have produced their first release under the name Nymark and Dryden, called Colours, which has gone to number six in the Top 100 Trance tracks on international music website TrackitDown.net in less than a week.
Since its release last week, international touring DJs Aly and Fila have supported it on their radio show, Future Sound of Egypt, with hundreds of thousands of fans listening worldwide.
And the remix has also been supported by five-time world number one DJ, Armin van Buuren, as well as many other big names in the dance music scene.
Martyn said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response since the track went on sale.
“You never quite know how something like this will be received until it’s out there, so to see us in the top ten within a week was quite surreal.”
Stewart added: “I’m completely blown away by the amount of support from local artists and A-list DJs playing it in their sets and ultimately helping it get up the chart so quickly.
“For a debut release we couldn’t have gauged this kind of response. It is totally surreal.”
The track is available to buy by download through iTunes, Amazon, TrackitDown and Beatport.
Follow up track Exosphere has also been signed up to Defcon Recordings and is due for release in the summer.
