A group of youngsters from a Northumberland dance academy have swept the board at the region’s Street Dance Challenge.

Bad apples dance and performance academy on Regent Street in Blyth, offer dance workshops to kids and teenagers and have taken first place in all age groups.

Caroline Ball, Bad Apples co-ordinator, said: “Dancers from across the region went head to head in crew, solo and duo heats.

“We are a young dance workshop and haven’t been going long so for us to achieve so many firsts in one of the biggest competitions is massive.

“I’m very proud of this academy and what we have achieved.”
