Northumberland Fire and Rescue service have played host to a university student from Denmark for an overseas internship.
Full-time student and retained firefighter, Josephine Wallbeck, from Denmark, joined officers at Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service in February as part of her degree in emergency and risk management at the Metropolitan University College of Copenhagen.
Fire officers have shared skills and experience with Josephine over the nine-week placement where she spent time learning from officers across all departments in the service and even joined the fire service for filming of an episode of BBC Countryfile.
Josephine said: "It has been great spending time in Northumberland and experiencing the way Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service works. It's been an exciting and challenging trip and I'm so grateful to the fire and rescue service for all of the experience they have given me."
Alex Bennett, Chief Fire Officer at Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service, said: "We're delighted that Josephine joined us in Northumberland. She has been an asset to the team throughout her placement and we wish her all the very best of luck with the rest of her studies."
