Dementia displays to get people talking

A Blyth-based charity is asking residents to join the conversation on dementia during Dementia Awareness Week.

Alzheimer’s Society staff in Blyth are urging residents of all ages to take advantage of a series of awareness-raising initiatives in the town where there will be an opportunity to hear from staff about the services being offered by the society locally and for advice.

In a bid to raise awareness, the Alzheimer’s Society’s Northumberland team have been out and about arranging information displays at churches in and around Blyth and the town’s library in readiness for Dementia Awareness Week, which runs from May 19-25.
