Developers plan hundreds of new homes in Northumberland

Hundreds of new homes have been earmarked for south east Northumberland this year.

Miller Homes North East, which currently has 10 active developments, has announced plans to build 369 new homes throughout 2017.

Among the early developments are plans for 56 homes in Cramlington and Bedlington, as well as Darlington.

New developments Barley Meadows in Cramlington, which will comprise of 192 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, as well as Broadoaks in Bedlington, are also under way.

Following the success of The Acres, work on Miller Homes’ second development in the town will offer 132 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.

Each of the developments will also have affordable housing units, and the construction process will support existing jobs as well as providing new employment opportunities.
