Two members of staff at a Blyth care home have gained Level 5 Diplomas in leadership and management for health and social care.
Marina Wilson, from Newbiggin, is the principal carer for Ridley Park care home’s residential section and Jane Tworkowski, also from Newbiggin, is a qualified nurse and deputy home manager leading the nursing team.
Marina and Jane have been part of the team since the home opened three years ago.
Tamzin McFarlane, associate assessor at training provider Learning Curve Group said: “Jane and Marina both worked exceptionally hard to achieve the qualification.”
Morag Horn, manager at Ridley Park, added: “I’d like to congratulate Jane and Marina on their qualifications. They worked so hard they were actually able to complete the course six weeks ahead of schedule.
“Training is ongoing for all Hadrian Healthcare staff because we know it’s the best way to provide high quality person-centred care for our residents.”
