Donation to charity for youngsters

A charity supporting youngsters across Northumberland has been given a cash boost.

Solicitor David Auld, from Morpeth, presented a cheque for £2,000 to Lookwide UK’s Starfish Club, which is a Northumberland Scouts development initiative aimed at engaging young people who might not see Scouting as an activity of choice, but who could benefit greatly from the range of activities and opportunities it offers.

Chairman of Lookwide UK’s Starfish Club, Don Charlton, said: “Lookwide UK’s Starfish Club is an opportunity for individuals and local businesses to support our work with disadvantaged young people.

“These young people are not required to become Scouts, however all programmes promote the Values of Scouting; integrity, respect, care and co-operation.”
