Successful students at a south east Northumberland school have been recognised in its annual awards ceremony.
Bedlingtonshire High School honoured the pupils at a recent annual celebration evening.
As part of this event, each department nominated two pupils for its students of the year in each group from Years 7 to 10.
The students and their families where then invited in for an ‘Oscars’ style awards ceremony.
In addition to this, each student performance leader awarded one pupil in their year group the prestigious student of the year award, which is recognised with the presentation of a trophy, which gets passed down every year as a record of who the previous winners are.
The winners were Aimee Urwin, Megan Bell, Anna Murphy, Alex Greer, Erin Robson and Emilia Palmer.
The students and the parents had a great evening and said that it was a nice way to round the year off and that they were pleased that the school recognised the hard work of their sons and daughters in such a way.
