Ross calls in at old school

Comedian Ross Noble went back to school last week and took on the role of headteacher.

The former Cramlington Learning Village student was in school to film a documentary for Australian TV.

He toured the campus, admiring the changes and reminiscing about the days when he used to unicycle to school and practice his juggling technique in the corridors.

He also met headteacher Wendy Heslop, who used to teach Ross English, and they shared their memories of his school days.

Mrs Heslop said: “Ross produced a tape for his English speaking and listening exam, which was absolutely brilliant.

“I only wish I’d kept it – it’d be worth a fortune now.”

The comedian is famous for his stand-up shows and is also a regular on a number of television quiz shows.
