Youngsters at a county middle school have taken part in a fundraising event to raise cash for four different good causes.
The pupils at Seaton Sluice Middle School took part in a charities’ afternoon to support Tiny Lives, St Oswald’s Hospice, Great North Air Ambulance and Daft as a Brush.
The special event was organised by youngsters in Year 8, who decided on the activities and the organisations that would benefit from the proceedings.
The initiative saw pupils taking part in a range of activities, including cake stalls, raffles and a popular stand where they could throw sponges at teachers.
The event raised £669, which will be divided between the charities.
