Students have been busy collecting Easter eggs to donate to a number of local charities and organisations.
More than 340 eggs have been donated following creative work from a group of Year 9 Enrichment students at Astley Community High School in Seaton Delaval.
The group designed posters which were displayed throughout the school asking students and staff to donate Easter eggs for charity.
Charities receiving the donations include Hartley Court residential and retirement home, children’s wards at the RVI, children at St Oswald’s Hospice, and elderly people in the local community.
Sheila Tyrie, from Hartley Court, said: “I haven’t had an Easter egg for years, it’s much appreciated.”
