Entertainer to step out in aid of kids’ charity

A children’s entertainer is preparing to step out to help raise money for a charity.

‘The Nutty Professor’, who specialises in birthday parties for youngsters, will be taking part in a charity walk to raise money for the Children’s Heart Unit Fund (CHUF) while also promoting his upcoming summer magic shows in July and August.

He will walk more than 80 miles, visiting each of the venues he will be performing his summer show ‘The Nutty Professor and The Missing Bunny Mystery’.

The Professor shall set off from Bedlington on May 4, and will talk to Blyth, Ashington, Amble, Morpeth, Ponteland, Gosforth, Killingworth, North Shields, and Cramlington.

He is expecting to take four days to complete the challenge, walking 20 miles a day.

He said: “I have performed in the past at CHUF’s Christmas parties and for the children that CHUF raise money for and thought this would be a worthwhile course.

The Professor is hoping to raise more than £500 for the charity. Anyone who wants to make a donation can do so via www.justgiving.com/thenuttyprofessor

The summer tour will take place from July 27 to August 7. Tickets from www.thenuttyprofessor.co.uk
