A national management support company based in Blyth has revealed new plans.

It is aiming to expand its services to businesses and organisations, particularly small and growing local enterprises, in order to help them avoid the many pitfalls associated with ever-changing legislation.

A key aspect of this is the recruitment of Jonathan Bishop, a former lawyer, as a member of the team earlier this year.

Bryan Conway founded Corporate Management Support (CMS) more than 30 years ago as a quality assurance support company.

Since then, it has evolved to include support for other management disciplines and also helps businesses with issues such as risk assessments, environment, health and safety, personnel and product conformity management.

With Mr Bishop joining the team, the strategy of the company going forward is to rebrand with a name change to Bishop & Co LLP.

Mr Conway said: “Legislation can be a complex issue for many companies.

“With new mandatory requirements coming in so often, it’s easy to run into problems and this can be a huge headache for business owners.

“This is where we come in. Bringing Jonathan on board, who already has a massive skill-set, means we’ll be able to provide even better support services for many years to come.

“In fact, Jonathan has already passed his lead assessor qualification, despite being with CMS for less than 12 months – testimony to his abilities.”
