A CRAMLINGTON company has won a Queens Award for International Trade.
Advanced Electronics was among this year’s first-time Queen’s Award winners after investing heavily in research and development to produce advanced fire detection and safety equipment for customers around the world.
The firm’s export sales have grown by 300 per cent over the last three years and now represent 45 per cent of its turnover.
Managing director Ray Hope said: “The Queen’s Award is a mark of excellence and represents a very important milestone for us on our journey towards our long-term goal to be a leading global player in the design and production of intelligent fire detection and safety control systems.
“It’s a great source of inspiration for our people and a welcome challenge for us to continually improve on our achievements so far.
“Everyone at Advanced Electronics is thrilled to be recognised as part of a top UK company, and the award will be a major marketing asset for our export drive and will be welcomed by our customers and partners at home and abroad.”
Advanced Electronics is among nine winners of Queen’s Awards in the north east.
