Thousands of people flocked to Ashington last Sunday for the town’s annual fair.
The town centre attractions included market stalls, fairground rides, face painting, street entertainment and a treasure hunt for youngsters.
There was also a ‘Beach Party’ at Wansbeck Square which saw hundreds of children enjoy the imported sand and surf simulator.
Live music was provided by The We Steal Flyers, The Hookahs, Fickle Lily and Logoz.
The event was organised by a number of community groups, organisations and Ashington Town Council.
Council town clerk Mike Slaughter said: “The great turnout at this year’s event has rewarded the enthusiasm of the working group and is greatly encouraging.
“The council are working with a number of partners in planning a music and arts festival in October.”
