The first in a series of Volunteer Recruitment Fairs is being held this month in the county.
The fair, organised by Wansbeck CVS, will be in the Sanderson Arcade in Morpeth, on Wednesday, January 21, and will give people the chance to explore the opportunities available to them.
The Alzheimers Society, Riding for the Disabled Association, Northumberland County Blind Association and Blyth’s Phoenix theatre are just some of the organisations there to talk about their volunteer opportunities.
The Volunteer Recruitment Fair is the first of a series of three to be organised by the Northumberland VCS Support Services team at Wansbeck CVS.
Anne Kidd, development officer for Volunteering, said: “Wherever you want to go in life, volunteering can help you get there.”
The event will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm at Sanderson Arcade on the second floor above Laura Ashley.
