Fast broadband for businesses

Companies based on business parks and industrial estates in Ashington, Cramlington and Blyth Valley are getting access to superfast broadband connections.

More than ten business parks and industrial estates in the area, including Lintonville Enterprise Park, Wansbeck Business Park and North Seaton Industrial Estate in Ashington, Blyth Riverside Business Park, Blyth Valley Retail Park and Northumberland Business Park, and parts of the Nelson Industrial Estate in Cramlington, have been upgraded to the new high-speed technology through the iNorthumberland programme.

Coun Dave Ledger, deputy leader of Northumberland County Council, said: “Every business may reap a different benefit, but we want to ensure that every business understands exactly what that is.”

More than 132,000 households and businesses in Northumberland now have access to high-speed fibre broadband as a result of iNorthumberland’s broadband programme.
