Attendees were treated to live music, market stalls, fairground rides and street entertainment.

The Chipmunks and Minions paid a visit and the powered stilt walkers provided a range of acrobatic tricks.

Local bands performed in the afternoon, while Newbiggin by the Sea Jayess brass band provided entertainment in the morning. Activities also took place at Ashington Cricket Club, including their Cider and Real Ale Festival.

The Fayre took place in the car park and grassed area to the rear of Wansbeck Square as work to re-develop Station Road is now under way.

Ashington Fayre Day was brought together by a dedicated working group of local community groups and organisations working alongside Ashington Town Council including the Ashington Town Team, Bad Apples North East, Northumberland YMCA and Ashington Cricket Club.

The Town Council thanked everyone who supported the event.
