The craft club ladies have been busily knitting gifts, including tree decorations and soft toys, for the Christmas Fair.

It will be held in the Newcastle Road parish centre on Saturday from noon to 3pm.

Lunches will be served and homemade cakes, jams and chutneys will be available. All children coming along will be given a small gift on arrival.

Young people from the Newsham and New Delaval Youth Forum will be joining in with a stall selling a range of items they have assembled during their youth club sessions.

With a well-stocked tombola, raffles and the sale of second-hand books and toys, it promises to be a fun-filled afternoon with something for everyone.
