The countdown to Christmas will offficially begin in Cramlington this weekend.
Manor Walks will host its annual Christmas lights switch-on event on Saturday, with an array of special offers, fun and entertainment for all the family.
The festive fun will kick off at 2pm, hosted by Radio Northumberland, and will see the South Mall alive with festivities including a pantomime scene from local theatre group Red Diamond, a festive performance by Elle from the Doo Wop Dollies, an appearance from Santa himself, festive giveaways, stilt walkers, children’s crafts from Lev3l Crafters and a generous offering of free roasted chestnuts to enjoy while absorbing the celebrations.
Manor Walks’ charity of the year, Cramlington United Football Club, will be pitching up with its mascot Crammy the Lion to help turn on the lights.
Restaurants Prezzo and Frankie & Benny’s will also be on hand with festive food samples including Italian bean and mozzarella soup with spinach and ciabatta and mini mince Christmas calzones.
