Fingers crossed for blogger James
People power has put Bedlington-based blogger James Common through to the finals of a national competition.
The public voted the naturalist and wildlife writer into the last eight of the Green & Eco category in the UK Blog Awards.
His blog, Common by Nature, will now be analysed by an expert judging panel but James, who hails from Widdrington, will have to wait until the awards evening in London in April to see if he has been successful.
A big supporter of Northumberland Wildlife Trust, James is a regular contributor to its members’ magazine and writes a monthly blog from a number of the wildlife charity’s 60-plus nature reserves, travelling to as many as possible by public transport to test their accessibility.
