Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service received the call just after 7.30pm yesterday, when a fire in a caravan spread to a shed at a farm in Acklington.

Four appliances attended - two from Pegswood, one from Alnwick and one from Amble - and firefighters tackled the blaze using breathing apparatus, hose reels, thermal imaging cameras and a positive pressure ventilation fan. The fire was extinguished at 11.10pm.

There are no reports of any people or animals being caught up in the incident.
