Youngsters have been accused of risking their lives by setting fire to grass and building materials.
Residents in part of Blyth fear the incidents could become a regular occurrence after a few incidents already this year.
Fire crews were called to fields adjoining the Isabella Heap on Tuesday, April 21, around 6.15pm.
Tab Hunter, who sent us these images, said: “If it’s not the grass, they set fire to building materials from the nearby new housing site that has blown onto the field and are never retrieved by the building company.
“It’s a regular thing over the summer months, just a good job last night there was only a light breeze or it would have been the whole field.”
