A south east Northumberland company is continuing to build on its international links after helping work on an oil rig off Africa.
Two automatic Diverless Bend Stiffener Connector (DBSC) units produced by Ashington-based FES International were delivered and installed successfully at a development off the Angolan coast.
Rob Anderson, managing director at FES International, said: “We were delighted when Oceaneering appointed us for this project.
“This work is a great example of how our team of subsea engineering specialists become fully immersed in the project from start to finish providing installation and onsite support services.”
As part of the deal with Oceaneering International Inc., FES International was also contracted to provide on-site support for the connection of the male end fitting adaptor to the umbilicals, as well as technical offshore support during the installation of the DBSC.
