A leading north east information technology business has completed a new project to strengthen its relationship with a top audio specialist.
Cramlington-based SITS Group, which provides flexible cloud solutions for the private and public sectors, first worked with Canford Audio in 2013 to install a back-up system for data.
The Washington business, which is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of audio, video and communications equipment, was so impressed with the work that when it was seeking to replace its storage systems, it again turned to SITS Group.
And the £40,000 project was delivered over two months.
SITS Group commercial director Phil Chambers said: “The aim was to give Canford a rock solid platform to accommodate all its data, which would not only be resilient, but also offers benefits in terms of scale and performance.
“One of the elements of the project was to ensure that if a server failed it would automatically re-start on a surviving piece of hardware. This means the client always has continuity of business, and, increasingly, businesses view that as a necessity.”
The project also dealt with increasing storage needs, using software to compress data, making it more manageable.
Canford Audio IT services manager Brian Smith said: “We knew from working with SITS Group before that not only is it highly skilled and professional, but it is able to anticipate our future IT needs.”
