Foot clinics in Ashington will relocate this week to give patients more choice of appointments.

From Friday, January 29, all Northumbria Healthcare podiatry clinics at Laburnum Surgery and Seaton Park Primary Care Centre will relocate to Nursery Park Health Centre, Nursery Park, Ashington.

Clinics will be available Monday to Friday for all patients from Laburnum, Seaton Park and Lintonville practices.

Some clinics at Lintonville Medical Group will continue three days a week and will be available to patients from Lintonville and Laburnum practices only.

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides podiatry clinics in over 60 venues in Northumberland and North Tyneside.

Helen Smart, head of podiatry at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, said: “This is great news for our patients as it provides more choice of times and days that they can access NHS podiatry clinics.

“We spoke to patients and GP practices at the earliest opportunity about our plans to move and we will ensure patients experience minimum disruption while we move. We look forward to welcoming our patients to Nursery Park Health Centre.”

There will also be a new appointment line for all Ashington podiatry appointments/referrals will be (01670) 859049.

As part of the changes the Trust will also be moving district nursing treatment rooms from Seaton Park to Nursery Park Health Centre. Appointments for these clinics will be accessed using the same number as above.
