Families are being invited to Hepscott Park Garden Cafe to get their hands dirty and join insome green fingered fun.
Teaming up with Hepscott Park Horticultural Skills Unit, the Café is holding a series of grow your own events where families can look forward to a hands-on learning experience to find out more about greener gardening, the Hepscott way.
It’s suitable for children of all ages and abilities, and families can take part in everything from learning how to grow a tasty selection of herbs for cooking to being able to take cuttings from plants to watch them grow.
The Café will also be hosting a series of special cooking activities to help families get creative in the kitchen with Hepscott’s head chef passing on some of his trade secrets to take away.
Stuart Lindsay, Hepscott Park Garden Café Chef and Manager said: “We’re passionate about producing home-cooked dishes here at the Café and want to share our love for food this summer by teaching local families lots of new skills.
“Many of our dishes use ingredients grown next door by our neighbours at the Horticultural Skills Unit, so as well as being able to take part in a range of special cooking workshops visitors will also get the chance to learn more about how to grow their own.
