Youngsters at a Bedlington school have been raising money for a charity close to their hearts.
When two families at Stead Lane Primary School lost their grandfathers to cancer, the grandchildren decided they wanted to do something to raise money to help the charity that cared for their relatives.
A series of Easter events were held at the school before the half-term holiday, including a non-uniform day and a day full of activities like biscuit decorating, a treasure hunt, egg rolling and egg and spoon races.
Each class also held an Easter egg raffle during the last week of term, as well as a loose change collection.
A total of £335.88 was raised for the Dream Fund, which is based at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle and supports integrated critical care and also pays for staff education and training.
